Tokken is a fintech (financial technology) start up in Denver, Colorado. They are the intersection of blockchain technology and traditional banking. The product is a cashless wallet in the form of a mobile banking app. While working at Terrain Collective, I was one of the designers that got to work on their re-brand process. I got to exercise my writing skills in helping articulate the stories and rationales behind the identity concepts we created as well. One snippet of my copy that the client especially liked was that "Tokken is the complexity behind the simplicity," which contributed greatly to the overall brand voice.
The look they landed with is a techy, silicone valley start up, coder personality. We used old patent drawings of bank vaults and old technology to drive home the message of security in a literal sense. Below are some of the main projects I got to be a part of in addition to preliminary thinking. We designed all of their SXSW conference merchandise, booth, a new website, and internal assets such as business cards and email signatures.
